How can HR have a greater effect on leaders, organizations, and employees? What are the attributes that make a great HR officer? How do technology and the future of work affect strategic workforce planning? In this podcast, Dave Ulrich talks about all of these.
According to Dave, HR is not just about HR; it is about creating value for others through talent, organizational culture, and leadership. He says that learning to create value for others should be one of the top corporate priorities today.
HR innovation again is about building the right people, the right culture, and the right leadership, thus helping companies succeed. If we keep this in mind, the future of HR is incredible.
Talking about challenges, Dave mentions that creating value for our stakeholders itself is a difficult task. In addition, racial issues, injustice issues are challenging HR, and HR must deal with them. Dave adds that every employee has something to offer. Now it’s the leader's job to discover and empower them and thus, use learning as a tool of growth.
